Whiskey, the world’s oldest cat has died at the age of 30. Lorraine Arnott was five years old when he was born, spending most of her life with the feline companion it was a hard decision for her to put him down last week.
“He was better than any brother or boyfriend. There will be no replacement for him. He used to give lovely kisses by putting his paws on my chest and started kissing me on the lips.”
Whiskey was suffering from blindness, ailing kidneys and began to have trouble walking. Ms Arnott attributes Whiskey’s long life to a low-protein diet during his adult life.
Whiskey was born with both male and female reproductive parts, but after an operation he became firmly a male. He survived a home fire last year by putting his paw over his face to protect him from inhaling smoke.
He was burried in Ms Arnott’s garden in Buckinghamshire England on September 11.
