Bride and Groom get married on social media

It seems that UK’s first social media wedding has taken place. When most couples tie the knot they want it to be an intimate affair. Not Zoe Anastasi and Will Diggins though. They decided to live stream the whole thing on social media. Zoe told the dailymail that they wanted social media to be a big part of the wedding as it plays such a huge part in their lives.
They set up a big screen at the venue, which showed pictures and comments posted by the guests using the #ZoeAndWill2016 hashtag.

‘Your wedding day is the biggest day of your life,’ she said. ‘You worry that it’s over in 24 hours, and I think it’s great to get more people involved in it. It makes it more special.

‘It’s the one day that’s all about you and if you have different people talking about it all over the world, on different formats, it makes it that extra special.

‘You spend so much money on flowers, venue, food, drink. Social media is such a big part of our lives today so it deserves an investment, too.’

More than 100 photographs appeared on social media and were later made into a wedding album.
