WTF is Pokémon Go?

You might have heard over the past few days people talking about Pokemon Go. Naturally, you probably wondered; What is this Pokemon Go?

Well, it’s a game. A game that’s about to surpass twitter in the amount of daily active users. One player even found a dead body while playing the game.

So how is this game played? First you have to download the Pokemon Go app for either your Android or iPhone. The app will then use your GPS data to detect where you are in the game and make Pokemon appear around you (on your phone’s camera screen) so you can catch them. Different Pokemon will appear depending on where you are and what time it is, forcing you to get outside and travel around the real world in order to catch as many Pokemon as you can.

The success of the game has already added $7.5 billion to Nintendo, the game creator’s market value. We are still waiting on the first Pokemon Go love story though.
