Toronto Pearson Airport airplane watch spots

, The Buzz

Wouldn’t it be great if you could jump on a plane and have a getaway any time you wanted. Because that idea might get a little too pricey, certain group of people have decided to do the next best thing: watch planes land and take off at the airport. These people are called “spotters” and you can meet some of them at key locations around Pearson International Airport.

Bring your lawn-chair, sit down, have an iced or hot drink, maybe order fast food and spark up a conversation with the person next to you about planes or politics, you’ll be amazed at how knowledgeable some Spotters are about airplanes. They’re able to tell you the make and model just by the sound of the engines.  Even if you don’t want to meet new people, key locations around the airport are perfect to bring a date or two.

You can get a perfect view of plane landings at Renforth & Silver Dart Drive, however there is nowhere to park. Below we list a few locations for safe plane watching excursions.

Always popular, Wendy’s and Country Style plaza at Airport Rd & Orlando Drive.
