He has held gigs at several hot spots including, Toronto’s System Soundbar, Waterloo’s Vault Lounge, Paradigm United’s renegade stage at WEMF, Toronto’s YNot Lounge, Kung Fu Lounge & Maxine Lounge in Miami, Toronto’s Chelsea Room, Toronto’s Kool Lounge and many more to come. Aren’s taste in delicious house, trance and finite progressive music coupled his love for seriously groovy sounds let him energize crowds and keep people moving. Through vinyl and CD collections of tune after tune, he enjoys the rush of spinning for any size crowd and passionately seeks quality in his work and its delivery. Thanks to his training as an audio engineer, Aren has the technical know-how and motivation to take on a career in the entertainment/ music industry.

Continually striving for the next best sound, Aren also produces the same genres he spins, under the aliases: Anthill, Desonica, and Signal Six. Keep an ear out for Mr. de Jong as he systematically takes on the nightclub scene and his other future endeavours.

Hour 2: Dj Hal

With over ten years of releasing music and DJing across the world, DJ HAL has played to crowds of 20,000 plus, on beaches filled with movie stars at the Cannes Film Festival, and still manages to hold down a number of residencies in the UK.

HAL gets his name from the malfunctioning genius super computer in Stanley Kubrick’s movie “2001: A Space Odyssey”, a nickname he picked up after blowing the minds of his long-time compatriots from the West Coast – Hardkiss.

With his hugely diverse taste in music, he is able to play to all kinds of crowds, in all kinds of countries, in all kinds of weather, and is as comfortable playing alongside David Guetta as he is playing with Fat Boy Slim. HAL is resident at one of the UK’s best underground clubs “Stealth”, where he plays alongside other residents Matt Tolfrey and Jo Jo de Freq. He also makes regular guest appearances at “Spectrum”and “Gatecrasher”.

With his love of all things house and tech, he has entertained the Hollywood elite, with guest appearances at Pierre Cardin’s summerhouse, and the Brazilian football team’s beach celebrations. He has a reputation for filling a dance floor full of beautiful women and a groove that sends them wild.
He is not to be missed, so catch him if you can – anytime, anyplace, anywhere.

After teasing us for the last couple of weeks the new Lasgo single “Sky High” has finally landed.
It might be tough to break the 17 week DJ Top 30 chart record that was set by “Here with me” but Peter Luts, Jeff Martens and Jelle van Dael, who just became a happy mother, are putting their best foot forward.
Does “Sky High” have the potential to go, well, sky high or will it fall to the bottom of the pit?
You decide.
